Disclaimer & Terms of Use

The events listed below are either provided by CCA and its members or, after appropriate review and in good faith, are promoted on behalf of people and organisations that share our vision and purpose. In this regard, the opinions expressed in these events are those of the presenters and are not necessarily those of the Climate Coaching Alliance.

Events may be recorded by the host. This should be advised either on the event information displayed on this site or the event host will let participants know before the event begins. However, whether or not the host records an event, you are not permitted, either directly or through the use of any other means including agents and bots, to record an event listed on this site without the express written consent of the person or organisation providing the content.

Further, events already held will be listed in our Past Events library or displayed or linked elsewhere on this site. You are prohibited either directly or through the use of any other means including agents and bots, from recording, scraping or in any other way copying or extracting any written, video or audio content from those events without the express written consent of the person or organisation that provided the content.

While the CCA fully supports and complies with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation and similar legislation operating around the world, particularly in terms of the privacy of those who interact on our platform, we cannot guarantee the same for those who operate outside the Alliance. It’s important, therefore, that you let us know if you receive any inappropriate or unsolicited communications or promotions related to any of the events you register to attend.

The Eco-Phase Cycle

We work with the Eco-Phase Cycle*, a model that defines the range from eco-curious to eco-active. We encourage coaches to identify their own place in this cycle and ask them what phase their coaching sessions help their clients explore.

Posting an Event

Privacy: Maintaining the integrity of the CCA is very important to us and, as such, we fully support and comply with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation and similar legislation operating around the world, particularly in terms of the privacy of those who interact on our platform and in our events.

Content: Your event must cover topics related to environmental, social, or economic responsibility and justice. Events may focus on local or global issues and a significant proportion, if not all of the content must provide learning opportunities and stated outcomes for participants. While references to promotional elements can be included, an event that is solely or significantly for the purpose of promoting products or services will not be approved for listing on this site.

Recordings: While you are free to record the event you must select Yes to the question in the event registration form “Is this event being recorded?“. If the decision to record the event is taken after your event has been approved and posted, you must advise all participants at the beginning of your event that it is being recorded. Further, whether or not you record the event yourself as the host and in keeping with restrictions the CCA applies to all those who register to attend your event, you must take reasonable measures to ensure that participants do not record your event, either directly or using any other means including agents and bots. This could be as simple as a declaration at the beginning of your event that unauthorised recordings are not permitted.

Promotion by CCA: Subject to the above, your event will be promoted by CCA in good faith and on the clear understanding that you will not use any information you collect from participants at your events (including those who register but do not attend) for the purposes of follow-up or other marketing unless you have first obtained that person’s express permission to do so. Unsolicited communications of any sort may be reported to the appropriate regulatory bodies.
